I loved that
I went to visit it because it is the set of A Place in the Sun and, honestly, I expected much more. I wasn't in the car and therefore, once I got off the bus, I had to make a long descent on foot with, obviously, a subsequent long climb. I knew that it is private and therefore the gate was closed. The sad thing was seeing the decay of the villa, the lack of maintenance and the waste abandoned on the small beach. What you see on television is very different and probably only concerns the seafront side. Sin

The state of conservation of the external facade is poor. Reachable on foot or by taxi. A visit not to be done except to visit the nearby Posillipo district and the beautiful panoramic road overlooking the splendid Gulf of Naples.
If you follow A Place in the Sun you can't help but come and see it.
Too bad for the dirt and rubbish that surrounds it. Those who frequent this place really don't know what civic sense and respect for nature are.

The villa today is among the most beautiful in Posillipo. Situated on the seashore, its garden is particularly interesting and is hidden by a surrounding wall which extends towards the sea and touches the properties of the official residence of the President of the Republic, Villa Rosebery. A very suggestive place of great cultural and historical interest. One of the wonders of Naples. Since 2004 it has been chosen to represent the exterior of Palazzo Palladini, the condominium where the events of the Rai Tre television series, Un Posto al Sole, are set.
